Convenience Pay Program Details

Convenience Pay is not a line of credit. However, if you inadvertently overdraw your account, we will have the discretion to pay the overdraft, subject to the limit of your overdraft privilege and the amount of the overdraft fee.

Pursuant to USF FCU’s commitment to always provide you with the best level of service, now and in the future, if you are over 21 years of age with a valid SSN and email address on file, and your checking account has been open for at least ninety (90) days, and thereafter you maintain your account in good standing, you are automatically enrolled in Convenience Pay.

To be considered in good standing, the following qualifications must be met:

  1. The member has not caused the credit union a loss
  2. The member is not currently delinquent
  3. The member has no bankruptcy
  4. The member has at least a $5 share balance

The following exclusions apply to account eligibility: No business, organizational, trust or USF FCU employee accounts. Must have a valid SSN on file. 90 days of dormancy will result in suspension of the Convenience Pay service to an eligible account.

This privilege for checking accounts will be limited to a maximum overdraft (negative) balance of $750. All fees and charges will be included as part of this maximum amount. It may be possible that your account will become overdrawn in excess of the overdraft privilege amount as a result of the assessment of a fee.

Our standard overdraft fee of $10 for each item less than $5.00, and $29 for each item more than $5.01 will be imposed for overdrafts created by checks, ACH debit, teller transactions, or Bill Pay transactions. The member has 30 calendar days from the day the advance was made to deposit the funds to cover the negative balance to include the overdraft amount and the Convenience Pay fee. On the 45th day, or earlier if deemed necessary, charge off is required.

While USF FCU will have the discretion to pay overdrafts on accounts in good standing (as described above), any such payment is a discretionary courtesy, and not a right of the member or an obligation of USF FCU, and USF FCU can cease paying overdrafts at any time without prior notice of reason or cause.

USF FCU will not pay overdrafts for ATM or everyday debit card transactions unless you have opted into the payment of these overdrafts.

In the event you would like to have this service removed from your account, you may do so by calling Member Service at 813.569.2000 or 800.763.2005 (if outside the Tampa Bay area).
