As part of our exciting brand refresh, we’re removing “Federal” from our name. Here’s a quick FAQ guide to help walk you through the update.

 

Name Change

Q: Why is USF Credit Union dropping “Federal” from its name?
A: Removing “Federal” from our name to become USF Credit Union modernizes and simplifies our brand, making it even more accessible to everyone in the communities we serve. The change also reinforces our deep local roots while positioning us for greater agility and growth in an ever-evolving financial landscape.

Q: Will “Federal” be removed from your legal name?
A: Our legal name will remain USF Federal Credit Union. You will continue to see our legal name on account and loan agreements, affidavits, contracts, and other official documents.

Q: Why do I still see USF Federal Credit Union in some places?
A: We are gradually updating our branch signage, digital platforms, forms, and communications.

Q: Is there anything I need to do as a member?
A: No, there is no action necessary on your part.

 

Insurance Coverage

Q: Will my funds still be federally insured by NCUA?
A: Yes, your insurance coverage will remain the same by NCUA.

 

URL and Email Addresses

Q: Will your credit union URL change?
A: Yes. As part of our brand refresh, our primary website address will be usfcu.com. While the original usffcu.com will continue to redirect, we encourage members to use usfcu.com going forward.

Q: Is usfcu.com safe to use?
A: Yes! usfcu.com will be our new official domain. It’s secure, owned by the credit union, and part of our refreshed branding. You can use it with confidence.

Q: Will email addresses for USF FCU employees change?
A: No, not at this time. Our employees’ email addresses will remain the same, ending with @usffcu.org.

 

Membership and Services

Q: Will the name change affect my membership status?
A: No, your membership status will remain unchanged. You will continue to enjoy all the same benefits and services.

Q: Will there be any changes to the services offered by the credit union?
A: No, all services offered by USF Credit Union will remain the same. The name change will not affect the quality or availability of our services.

 

Technical and Operational

Q: Will there be any changes to the online banking platform?
A: No, the online banking platform will remain the same. You can continue to access your accounts and perform transactions as usual.

Q: Will there be any changes to the mobile banking app?
A: No, the mobile banking app will remain the same. You can continue to use the app to manage your accounts and access our services on the go.
